Railway gun .... working towards a game...
Trying out a table setup for the railway tracks before adding anything else
Diesel shunter (Dapol plastic kit) and ammo wagon (old Hornby van wagon) have been painted....
The firing turntable for the gun - initial version; will have to add some more detail then paint etc..(I used the Dapol plastic kit as a basis for the turntable).
You’ve produced an excellent railway gun battery, and the turntable is a great idea. The alternative spurs of track will give you the opportunity to ‘hide’ the gun in different positions so that any RAF recce planes might miss it when they overfly the gun’s location. I’ve seen several photos of guns camouflaged with nets draped over them and one that showed a camouflaged tent-like structure that the engine and gun could be hidden inside.
