A few german figs...

Been painting a few oddment german figures ...

some scenic bits - buildings and cars....

Picked up a few bits today at a local toy & train fair which could be useful for future story lines and games. A standalone small square factory building, a larger low relief one. Also a couple of cars, two are 1930's Peugeot 1/43 scale ones made my 'Miniatures de NoRev'

Arrival at the de-briefing location....

The spies, recently returned from England arrive at their de-briefing location ...

[Note: story line posts will switch over to 28mm figs, once I get sufficient figs painted....; games will continue using 20mm]

The German spies extracted from southern England, crossed the channel safely. After reaching the French coast their ME109 escort peeled off to go back to its base and was replaced by a Storsch. A while later they arrived at an airfield somewhere in France....

The Lysander lands.....

 and taxis to nearby the control tower; while the Storsch escorting it landed & parked up...

 A car drew up near the Lysander, Smith and the Robinsons headed for the car ...

they would be taken to intelligence HQ for a de-briefing, once they'd finished their written reports they would meet with General von Tiddenheim .....

Evade the patrols .....

after an attack on a military target - resistance fighters head for safety, but German patrols are out searching for them ....

german patrols search for the resistance ....

 the germans have setup HQ in a small farm....

 the resistance fighters move round behind the barn heading for the cover of the rocks

 the german patrol near the farm are fired on by a couple of the resistance fighters ....

 meanwhile the rest of the resistance has reached the safety of the rocks ...

 the germans move forward and deal with the resistance who had been firing on them ....

 the german patrol walks into a hail of bullets as they near the rocks ....

 the patrol falls back and takes cover, returning fire. While some of the resistance make for cover in the next rocky outcrop another german patrol moves towards the sound of the gunfire ...

 the resistance fire at the newly arrived germans from the rocks, the germans return fire ....

 the german patrol near the farm has swept the woods and is heading carefully towards the sound of the gunfire ....

 the germans have silenced most of the gunfire from the rocks ....

 about half of the resistance fighters have evaded the germans and are making their way to safety...

the germans mop up in the rocks and report back to HQ...

1/72 Walrus - painted ...

I went for the simple pre-WW2 silver dope paint scheme (markings & decals to be added later... sometime ...); also useable for inter-war period (so could be used as piece in my adventure games).

The hand-crafted cockpit has come out reasonably well; in addition I made a short stand from a small lid and a wooden hibachi skewer.

1/72 Revell Walrus - WIP

I am working on a 1/72 Revell Walrus I picked up as an already started kit cheap off Ebay - the instructions, decals and cockpit glass piece were missing. Well it has been assembled (the struts for the engine are wrongly positioned, but look ok).

I have taken a bit off the bottom so it sits flat - ostensibly to represent it on water (with a weight in the nose). Currently making up the cockpit glass from clear plastic pieces.

I will be drilling a hole in the underside so that it can be put on a stand; it will mostly be used as a game backdrop/storyline item.
